About Expedition

After the grand success of Pune Everest 2012, where 8 mountaineers successfully reached the summit of Everest, Giripremi in 2013, planned a joint expedition to Mt. Everest & Mt. Lhotse.

The motive behind this expedition was to set forth on ‘Quest of 8000ers‘ wherein, Giripremi’s team aimed to climb all 14 mountains of 8000 m and above heights. Mt. Lhotse (8416 m) is the fourth highest mountain in the world.

Secondly, during Pune Everest 2012 expedition, Anand Mali, Bhushan Harshe, and Ganesh More could not summit the peak due to injuries and technical faults. They were certainly the deserving ones and their future life would have flourished with the ascent of Everest.

Thus, Giripremi in 2013 launched  Lhotse – Everest Expedition.

Anand Mali, Bhushan Harshe, Ganesh More on 17th May 2013  reached the summit of Everest, while Ashish Mane climbed Mt. Lhotse.

  • Fourth highest mountain in the world.
  • One of the most technically difficult mountains, with a steep rock climbing ascent near the summit.
  • The main summit of Lhotse was first climbed on May 18, 1956, by the Swiss team of Ernst Reiss and Fritz Luchsinger from the Swiss Mount Everest/Lhotse Expedition.

Leader – Umesh Zirpe

Team Members – Bhushan Harshe, Ashish Mane, Ganesh More, Anand Mali.

Like Everest 2012, countless individuals extended their support for the expedition’s success.

However, immediate successful expedition was possible only due to humongous support from Guardian Corp., Vidya Valley School, and Cubix Microsystems Pvt. Ltd.
