Giripremi’s All Women expedition was launched on 17th July 2021.

A team of young women mountaineers of Giripremi led by Priyanka Chinchorkar has summitted both Kangyatse I & II on 2nd Aug & 5th Aug 2021. 

This was after 28 years, that all women expeditions has been successful.

Under Giripremi banner and it has resulted in 100% success.

Despite the pandemic tough times, the team had underwent a hardcore ‘Gurukul’ style fitness training for a year under the guidance of Shivchhatrapati Awardee Umesh Zirpe and Expedition Coach Samiran Kolhe. 

The glory has set a landmark stone in the History of Giripremi’s mountaineering shall continue to prosper in future.

We wish them hearty congratulations for their mammoth success at Kangyatse I & II!

• It is located at the end of the Markha valley in the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India
• One of the prominent twin peaks in Ladakh region
• Mt. Kangyatse I (6400 m) is a technical peak with challenges of multiple ice walls enroute; and Mt. Kangyatse II (6251 m) is a non technical peak but offers challenges in terms of high endurance testing.
